This season I decided to get a new board as my 14 year old board was starting to get a bit old... After much deliberation, I decided on the 2024 Stale Crewzer ! Immediately fell in love with how responsive it is and how much POP I get ! Unfortunately my top sheet split, but I was able to contact the Rome team and I got a replacement under warranty with no hassle ! The 2024 was not available so I received a 2025, and I won't complain ! Overall I love the look, I love the board and the team is great. I will be buying from Rome again !
I haven't gotten the chance to ride my 2025 Crewzer yet, but the 2024 was exactly what I was looking for! A board which allows me to do jibs, carve, ride switch and pop like crazy without sacrificing decent speed ! Can't wait for next season !
I bought this board (161 wide) for my trip to France (les 3 vallées) and it has handled every thing i have wanted perfectly. My testing has been, during sunny days, heavy snowing days. The carveing and sidehit performance was good as expected but the powder performance REALLY surprised me (moved bindings back as far as possible) and the board was amazing! I really have no complaints, i would really like to try a stale fish in the future!
Just wanted to drop a comment here after seeing someone say it didn't have as much pop as they'd hoped. I've been on capita boards (mercury mostly) the past 10ish years and picked up a Rome Stale Crewzer locally this season to change things up. Similar camber story so figured itd ride comparable. Paired up with the Black Label bindings, this combo is so fun. Insane pop in my opinion. I can butter / wheelie as high as I want and not go over the tail / nose like I usually did with my last Mega Merc. Actually got a 159 WIDE which I never ride wides, boot size 9, but man this board is so fun. At first it was a little more effort than I was used to. I can carve hard and ride everything that Snowbird has to offer with this set up. Already wanting to scoop the Ravine Pro just to see what the highest end board rides like.
This board is tons of fun everywhere I go. It's handled technical riding, steep groomers, the park, and a little pow too. My only complaint is that the top sheet is pretty fragile (scratches show extremely easily on the glossy finish and it doesn't take much to chip the topsheet edge). I don't mind much because I've always thought boards were meant to be ridden but it could bother some.
100% would recommend for anyone looking for an all mountain board. Since I bought it I've chosen it for 9/10 days on the mountain and sold my dedicated park board. This thing does everything.
Really great at carving
Super stable
Handles jumps well
Works for rails but not great.
Can’t really do butter tricks. I mean you can but pretty stiff.
Great board if you like to ride whole mountain and bomb hills fast!
This Board makes the whole mountain to your playground. Insane fun board. I have 3 Boards and 9 out of 10 times i take this one. Stale and the team nailed it with this board
This thing rips! The sidecut is so dialed its insane! I don't know what chilton changed on this from years before but there is a reason it's sold out everywhere you go! just a feel good, popsicle shaped amazing ride!
First off, it must be said, this board is beautiful, the color, the graphics really turn some heads. I work at the lifts and my board is usually outside, ever since I've got it I've seen other snowboarders turn their heads in awe. Didn't see them do that with my previous ride unfortunately.
Secondly, this thing rips. I was lucky to have a big dump in the resort after my 4th day riding. Whether it's being the first in fresh pow and floating over all that knee deep snow or charging through the mess and moguls that skiers made, this thing does it all! It felt like it had no speed limit, wheelies incredibly aswell probably due to those rods in the tail and nose. Feels stable but not too damp, still fun and lively but confidence inspiring!
Freestyle-wise ticks all the boxes too, perhaps not my first choice for rails but handles them regardless. Feels super solid when landing, whether it be switch, nose or tail heavy landings, it got you covered.
I think this is the only board in the Rome line-up this year where two sizes are already sold out, with reason I'd say! I highly recommend this board AND the Rome costumer service!
Very good mix between freestyle and pow board little bit hard to press on rails with wide model but not impossible (the wide seems stronger) good pop on jumps !
I love this snowboard its a beast and it can do it all. Will now always be riding Rome's.
